How to enrol

Confirm your email
We email you a 6-digit code. It confirms the email is yours so you can log back in any time.

Fill in your details
Have your USI and your name exactly as on your ID ready. Only the fields marked * are required.

Start learning
You'll get access to the online course to complete first, then attend your face-to-face practical assessment with your trainer.

Common questions

What is a USI and where do I get one?

A USI (Unique Student Identifier) is required for all nationally recognised training in Australia. It's free — create one in a few minutes at usi.gov.au before you enrol.

You don't need this page. Use the enrolment link your organiser sent you and you'll go straight to the right class.

What do I need to have ready?

Your name as it appears on your ID, your date of birth, your USI, your residential address, and access to your email inbox for the code.

My code didn't arrive.

Check your spam/junk folder and wait a minute — then use Resend. Codes expire shortly, so request a fresh one if needed.

What happens after I enrol?

You complete the online course (the theory) at your own pace, then attend the face-to-face practical assessment day with your EMSET trainer. Your certificate is issued once everything is complete.
